CAMPFIRE CAFE FEATURED GUEST
RYAN FRITZ
Host Gary Holt and co-host Bobbi Jean Bell look forward to catching up with featured guest RYAN FRITZ.
It has been said "Ryan Fritz can handle a pen as well as he can handle a rope ".
Ryan's song writing started back when he left home to cowboy on Canada's Gang Ranch in the Cariboo region of British Columbia. After honing his trade and many ranches later, he settled in Saskatchewan to raise his family on his own outfit. Ryan's music is inspired by the western and ranching lives of the past and the present. His own experiences of cowboying, stories of other people & his environment makes for " lots of good writing material ", says Fritz. Ryan has released seven albums to date including his latest "Cow Pony" released April 23, 2021. ---From Ryan Fritz Website

MAY 20, 2021 THE WRITER'S BLOCK RADIO SHOW
SHOW #307 A CONVERSATION WITH MARY KAYE AND GARY HOLT
Join hosts Jim Christina and Bobbi Jean for conversation with good friends singer/songwriter MARY KAYE and radio host GARY HOLT.
The Writer's Block Show celebrates our 6th anniversary tonight, our first show aired May 21, 2015! Join us for engaging conversation and entertaining music with returning guest Mary Kaye and first time guest Gary Holt.
MARY KAYE is a multiple award winning entertainer offering her unique brand of western roots music. Her music is a mix of western folk, traditional, Americana, and western swing. The authenticity of her music emerges from her life of mothering cowboys, wranglers, and rodeo sweethearts; caring for livestock, and living in one of the most remote places in the Western United States. Mary Kaye combines traditional trail songs with fresh, contemporary material, and award winning originals. Her music is rooted deeply in the Western landscape her life is immersed in.
The critics have been prolific with praise for Mary Kaye's singing and songwriting. Western Horseman said of her, "Some Western singers and musicians are all about preserving traditional cowboy songs. Others strive to write and sing songs about contemporary cowboy life...Mary Kaye does both well, and with an authenticity that appeals to not only purists, but also those seeking something fresh." ---From Mary Kaye Holt Website
We'll be chatting about her song writing process and enjoying music from her newest album "Frontier." Funded by fans, this pivotal new album was recorded at MAS Studio during the 2020 Pandemic Quarantine. The songs reflect both the tender and tough elements of Mary Kaye's life in a remote Southern Utah town as well as several glimpses into her unique travels in the American West.
GARY HOLT is the founder and President of The Legacy Group the parent company of the EQUESTRIAN LEGACY RADIO NETWORK.
He grew up on the family horse farm just outside of Nashville TN and inherited his love of horses from his father. Blessed to always have horses as part of his life, his other passions include music and sharing with people who have those same interest.
"New technology has allowed us to reach people and make new friends Around the World with Online Radio, who share the same interest and passion for both horses and music. The goal of EQUESTRIAN LEGACY RADIO is to both entertain and inform our audience and for them to feel as though they are visiting with friends around the campfire...we hope we're doing that."
