Dan McCorison grew up in Colorado and began playing western swing and country music soon after college when he and a couple of new friends formed his first band, Dusty Drapes and the Dusters. Known for sure fire country music and Western swing, The Dusters were soon touring, headlining packed shows and opening for the likes of Merle Haggard, Willie Nelson, Flatt and Scruggs and Linda Ronstadt.

Discovered by Chris Hillman of The Byrds and Flying Burrito Brothers. Dan left the Dusters and was signed to MCA Records. Dan's trail finally led him to Nashville where he lived for twenty years writing and recording with some of the finest writers and musicians in country music.

He has played all around the USA as well as in Japan, Australia and Europe. He is a proud member of the International Western Music Association and the Pro Cowboy Country Artists Association. Today, Dan makes his home in Arizona, writing songs and performing as a solo artist.

JUNE 3, 2021 THE WRITER'S BLOCK RADIO SHOW
SHOW #309 A CONVERSATION WITH WAYNE AVRASHOW
Join hosts Jim Christina and Richard Paolinelli for conversation with author WAYNE AVRASHOW about his newest book, CENTER STAGE: A POLITICAL THRILLER.  He was campaign manager for two Los Angeles City
councilmembers and served as chief of staff on two government commissions. He has an extensive background in California politics. His experiences in politics, government, business, and as a practicing attorney provide unique insight into the machinations and characters that populate political campaigns.

    Center Stage: A Political Thriller
America has adored mega-rock star Tyler Sloan for decades, and when he decides to leave the Las Vegas stage to run for a seat on the United States Senate, it’s assumed that he’ll run an unconventional campaign. He exceeds expectations—and more.

No stranger to politics, Sloan’s estranged father was a California governor who narrowly lost his presidential campaign. It’s this experience—and his performance skills, on full display as Sloan renders a show-stopping performance as an independent candidate for Senate. He expresses disdain for the two-party system, refuses campaign contributions, and dismisses special interests and lobbyists. He immediately finds himself caught in a political campaign fraught with scandal, corruption, and conflicting loyalties—personally, politically and romantically.

Will Tyler be able to handle political turbulence and his own past? As the countdown to election day begins, Sloan is focused on winning and taking center stage.

The Writer's Block Radio Show airs on LA Talk Radio. Airs live every Thursday on LA Talk Radio: 6pm (PST), 7pm (MT), 8pm (CST), 9pm (EST).
